How does you media product represent particular social groups? (Gender, Age, Sexuality, Ethnicity etc)
Our Thriller shows young men and women in a postivie way, as you are able to see that they are just like any other person haveing fun and ejoying themselves. However you can see that for some reason the adult male is deranged and is shown as a killer. It featured people in their late teens.
The are no other ethnic minorities as we did not feel as this would help improve our thriller in any way possible, so we decided to just keep it how it is as well as not discriminating against them to cause a fued in the thriller opening.
There was no relevance for sexuality within the film either so we didnt take this into consideration, and at the same time in any way we didnt discriminate against them, and the film is appropriate for all above the age of 12.
You are able to notice a sterotype; 'The Scary Hoody' as he was the killer. This is common in many thrillers as it is a way of hiding their identity. its a negative sterotype however, it is widly knon, and is just how it is seen.
